The offensive postings

I know I'm asking a lot but how does one go about getting these idiots kicked off these boards.

I logged in to see what was going on and found these "postings" on our fun loving board. Google won't do anything (I asked) and Verizon can only "look into it."

I don't know but I'm having a bad enough day not to have to scroll through the garbage to find the fun loving postings of you guys.

any help, maybe we can (in force) do something.

Oh well, Maybe I'll scrap until my anger ends. Dinner is in the pressure cooker and hubby isn't home yet (way too foggy).

Kate, I've been here four years and have never seen anything like this here before. I'm glad you contacted verizon, I was thinking to do so myself. Who ever it is they'll get bored real quick if we all just ignore the posts. I know that's hard to do, but hopefully they'll move on soon. Some people just really have a looooot of times on their hands apparently.

I've blocked alot out by going into set up and having things blocked it the subject has certain words in it. Looks like I might need to try and add a couple more.

I contacted my server too and was told the only thing I could do was unsubscribe to the news group and that's not an option so I hope they go away! Barb:o)

If you are using Microsoft Outlook go to "message" then to "block sender". This will block the offensive poster. Just my 2 cents worth. Otherwise this person/persons will never go away.

This is what I do too. I don't even look at the messages. When they look suspicious I go to block sender and delete. I enjoy you all too much to let the low lifes chase me off.

Like spam mai, ignore it, delete it and DO NOT OPEN IT!!! A lot of these people that do these posts do it in numerous locales and if they are "opened" or responded to, just like MOST spam mail, all that it does on thier server or website counter, is verify a valid, active "hit" or email.

As most of s in here KNOW and do, JUST IGNORE THE POSTS - PLEASE!!! As ya'll see, they come and go and it has been a couple months since we have had a few.

If you know the person's ISP, you can forward the post or email to their ISP in care of abuse or spam dept. The addy would be like this: Abuse@msn. com or snipped-for-privacy@msn.com.

If you know that the person i fact has posted to OTHER sites or groups, get tehat addy too and send them to the same above, in adition you can also forward to the FTC at snipped-for-privacy@ftc.gov.

Also a lot of states attorney general offices will take reports of spam or this type of crap, especially if it is illegeal in that state or involves anything underage. Call them to see if they do and to get their email addy to forward the crap to. one last site that you can forward the crap to is

Hope this might help some of ya, but remember, just ignore them as soem of us ignore others posts or subjects within the group.

Oh one final site that might be used to check the legallity of this stuff is

I have been reading posts on this site for nearly four years (I rarely post but read regularly, have free time today) I just ignore them, they want attention, just like the spam you get it in email, delete it and move on.

Just block the emails. You don't need to unsub, and you would thinkyour ISP would have taught you how to block the emails. If you need help, there is a thread here that shows you how.

I finally got an answer to my numerous e-mails to msn/hotmail. They said their user agreement prohibits e-mail of this sort by either sender or receiver. I sent them copies of the ones I had which originated from their users and they promised to check into it for us. It never hurts to complain. Sandy

Thank you for your efforts Sandy. I see there's another wacko from hotmail on the loose now *sigh*. Hope they do something soon.
