The SCRAPBOX!?

Sep 11, 2003 4 Replies

Ok, I have been reading all about this box of goodies that ya'll have out there. My niece is sitting here and I am sharing all the goodies of this group, (She is pc/net illiterate! (actaully IMPATIENT!!)) and she insists we get get on the LIST for the box.

SO HOW DO I DO THIS!!! We want to see what is included and we always have things we want to trade, give away, whatever!!!

Dave,

Unfortunately, you'll have to wait until the Scrapbox makes its go around this time. There were some previous posts about this so I will copy them below. I think Dawn explains it well. (I can't even remember if I signed up!!)

APRIL'S QUESTION: Can you not just add the names to the bottom of the list?? Seems easier that way. Just my opinion... as if you wait till a new sign up then some of them that were in the first group who already did it would get a second chance before the latter ones were added. I don't know if that makes sense to you but worth a try.

DAWN'S ANSWER: April, we certainly could add names to the bottom, but then it would be the never-ending scrapbox! The names are determined randomly, so adding to the bottom would throw that off and possibly leave some people out. Also, we like to make sure the box doesn't get too heavy and full to make it too expensive for people to participate. Also, we like for the box to get back home so that it can go through some housekeeping and then start up again.

It gives people an opportunity to participate that maybe couldn't during the previous round but are able to on the next.

Hope this helped you Dave:o)

I second the heavy and expensive...last time I participated (and this is why it was the LAST time!) it cost me 17.00 to ship!! Arleen

Ouch Arleen! You must have been shipping it to the other coast! I know it was expensive for me to ship the box to the 1st person on the list but they are on the opposite side of the US. Had I shipped it to someone closer...I think the postage wa going to be about $5.

I remember Arleen talking about this when it happened. I think she was the last on the list and had to ship back to Alisha from GA to AZ.

When I was in it I shipped mine FedEx, per Alisha's advice, and only spent $6 to get it to the Gulf coast of MS. I'm pretty sure that's where it went anyway.

I'm definitely getting in on the next round, and I'll prolly ship FedEx again.
