I would use 19 of those 28 items listed, so I think I'll just tell you what I WON'T use. :-)

WILL NOT use:

Idea books and hand made borders would be good, but not neccessary. For me, it would depend on the tool, but like you said, they do tend to add to postage. I can live without them, but would be willing to pay the extra postage if there was a chance somebody down the line could use the tool.

I agree with the exchange limits on hand made items. We're all talented folks, so we should be willing to add our creativity to the scrapbox. :-) I don't have a problem putting my name on any hand made items.

I've unpacked my craft stuff now. Do you want a list of stuff I can add to the scrapbox or just send it to you?

Although I have not particpated in the scrapbox before, I would like to this time and I guess I will add my two cents:

I think the only thing on the list that I wouldn't use would be googlie eyes. Everything else sounds great. I'm still trying to get some things together to send to you.

Although I have never participated an probably never will, I personally like things that I can't find in a LSS or online. I went to a craft fair last month and picked up several paper piecings, paper dolls and chalked diecuts. I was attracted to them solely because it wasn't something I could just pick up anywhere. The same goes with eyelets, brads, fibers, etc. I picked up a couple I have never seen anywhere else and skipped the ones I can get at one of the LSS' or online anytime.

I have a few idea books I could donate... do you want me to mail them to you or wait for the round?

Ronni....that is entirely up to you. We are still debating whether the idea books will cause the weight down the box to the point that postage is an issue.

I think what people would use also just depends on taste and scrapping style. I know there is stuff in there I would not want that someone else might love to have!

I was also thinking things each of us may have in our stashes of interesting finds that might not be available in everyones LSS. unusual stickers, close out embellishments, etc. We all have stuff we've bought because it seemed so cool at the time we just couldn't pass it up, but never found a use for....

The list for the scrapbox sounds good. I would not use the eyes probably. I would like to see items from different areas.Do they very from whats in my area? I think tools would be great but also builds postage. Same for idea books. Hopes this helps. Lin

Hi Susan! Speaking as one who's had the scrapbox twice now, here's what I think. The first thing that sticks in my mind is the templates. The second time I got the box it still had the very same ones as the first time. This was prolly two years later too. I had taken an alph template out the first time, but otherwise, all the same. They're just circles, ovals and squares if I remember right. Do we really need them in there after all this time? I'd love to see some alph, maybe paperdoll, or even coluzzle templates instead. You've hosted and participated enough to know which items just are not going. Maybe you could donate some of the stuff that's just been around too long so we can make room for more.

After the last time I had the box I said "no more". Now I'm reconsidering since it's going to have a fresh supply of items. I've got quite a few ready for you but still need to go through some more of my stash.

Okay, items I like to see are: fiber, paper (all sizes & types), handmade (pp, tags, titles etc), stickers, sets of alphs (qk & sizzix),

Oh man, I if I had a QK alpha I'd cut a bunch of sets... never thought of that.... something to think about..... but I do agree... I do remember seeing some templates twice... I think most of us have "matured" in our scrapping and are past the deco scissors thing (although they ARE coming back believe it or not). tell you guys what. I'll make it a point to make 20 or so of my slide shaker boxes and get them to susan in the next few weeks for the box... so we can all have a shaker from me handmade.. okie? any requests on themes? I was going to do like "fall, spring, winter" so they can be used on anything....

Yes, I like your idea of having a alpha thing in there. Like sizzix. Don't take but use it when you have a turn.

I don't think thats what she meant. Sizzix are VERY heavy. I shipped one once and was stunned at how heavy they are. I think she meant, if you own a sizzix, if you want to contribute to the box... cut out a few sets of alphas, put them in baggies and include in the box, so those who get the box and don't have a sizzix can use them. A friend of mine a long time ago cut me some sizzix letters and it was a joy recieving them. I still have them and if I'm not out of a letter, I use what I can. It was a real blessing. Another floozie in here sent me a stack pack with pre- diecut letters... I use that constantly... I am hoping santa-hubby brings me a QK font so I can share... :D
