Now that everyone has them I must ask for a critique on the title for my roast page. I did something totally different and completely out of my comfort zone. I wondered what you all thought of it. Is it too confusing? That was my worry. Of course I know what it reads, so it looks normal to me.

I love it! Did you make the crock pot paper too, or was it bought that way?

I really like that title, Lynne. I was hoping that you guys would send me a little something on how you put your pages together. For example, how you made your title and I know that Kenda painted that beautiful background. It would be nice to add the techniques to your individual pages.

I wasn't apart of the swap but I looked at the picture and I think you did a great job!!

I looked for some food related paper with words on it, but couldn't find any so I made it.

Great idea, because I wanted to quiz a few on how some of them made their embellishments.

Great idea. I wouldn't have thought to do that. LOL I had enough of a hard time finding a pig sticker. I was looking for San Francisco stickers, but I would have had to buy so many pages of stickers that were of the US with Statue's of Liberty, etc., on them, that I'd have ended up throwing most of them out. My husband finally said, "here's some pigs? Will that work? You know, Pork Chops?" That was his contribution. LOL

I like the title Lynne. I wasn't part of the swap, but from what I see in the pic on the RCS website, the title looks great. It's readable, yet different. I like it! (Now, how'd you do it?) :-)

The pigs were adorable. I just loved the way you used them. Yep, next time think about printing your own on card stock or on vellum. I do a lot of printing on vellum.

The recipe is called "Crockpot French Dip Roast." It seemed like such a long title. I had seen something in a magazine that I thought might work for my title to break it up and jazz it up. I decided to print crockpot in various fonts in small print. Then I did roast in very big blurry like print on top. I even faded it a little so the "French Dip" would show up better. I printed it on card stock cutting it to the size I wanted. I took the words "French Dip" and printed it on vellum to put over the top. I ended up securing it with brads as my eyelet stuff is packed away with the construction of the house. Plus after I did the title I felt it needed a little color I thought the brads gave it the hint of color it needed.

GRRRR!! I hate webtv lately as it is SSSOOOO SLOW!! The glimpse I got after such a wait, well I know they WERE ALL wonderful!! Next time I have just got to get in on a recipe swap!! From what i saw personally in Sabrina's and couple others things, those pages are so kool to make!!!!

Someone said about printing on vellum. I do it too with my laser printer, but ya'll know what works and in some cases LOOKS better - transparencies!!

I gotta SWEET TALK or bribe Jessie I guess for her recipe!!!! Sounds so yummy and I have to try it!!! (though I make and like MY chili too!!)
