Three hole punch worth buying?

I don't know what one would use a three hole punch for unless you were putting stuff in a 3-ring binder. Since I don't like the look of binders of page protectors it wouldn't be something I would use.

I did buy two GBC binding machines one does comb binding and the other does a clicklock kind of binding. Both are very nice for handmade scrapbooks.

I don't like the look of the binders first of all, not just the ugly plastic covers which can be of course decorated, but I don't like the metal hoops that hold the pages in. The spring easily and I don't think they look all that good. They detract from the look of the pages. But, that is just me. To each their own.

Well 3-Ring Binders and regular photo albums are boring for one thing. Scrapbooking is about taking your photos as well as the journaling (the written story behind the photos) and placing them together on a page with stickers, buttons, ribbons, paper shapes, beads, wire, rubber stamps, paints, chalks, pens, etc. to make a nice presentation that not only shows off the photos and the stories behind them but complements them as well.

It really goes much further than just putting photos in an album or photo sheets in a binder. Its about making pages that takes you back in time to those cherished moments in your life and the lives of your family.

Hmmm well my 3-ring binders are scrapbook albums, just not strap hinged or post bound. They hold 12x12 page protectors in which I insert fully scrapped pages. As any of our regulars can tell you I am definitely a scrapbooker. The only difference is that my two page layouts are a little further apart than they are when I put them in one of my post bound albums.
