what's going on?

Is it just my computer or is there something wrong with the server? Everytime I click on a message, the message gets a line drawn thru it and in the preview pane, it says message is no longer on the server. Any help? Thanks.

I"m not having that problem but I do know that sometimes in the option box people can choose to have their posting temporary and maybe you're just unlucky, hitting those postings that were only set to show for a few days? Good luck :)

I have had that problem before. I'm not sure what causes it. Some of the posts that it did that to were only 3-5 days old. After a while, it stopped happening. I think I unsubscribed and then resubscribed to the list.

This depends on what server you're reading the articles from. If you are using a true news server, an article title may have been cached on your PC, but when the reader tries to retrieve the body from the server, it will have been deleted. Deletion is automatic, and happens on whatever schedule the individual server needs to keep its disk from filling up. For example, I have my server set to delete articles when they are two weeks old. Or there is a disk problem.

If this behavior is being seen on the Google interface ... I don't know. But I would guess it is temporary.
