Woo hoo!

I have been trying to get my husband into scrapbooking since I started! He has a very artistic eye....but more than that I just wanted him to get his photos out of the albums they were in. Well...he finally bit! Last year at Christmas I bought him some supplies.....nothing fancy...an albulm, photo corners, black paper, and a silver and gold pen. I knew if I was going to get him into it it would have to be very simple. Basically just putting the pictures in photo corners and on a page, with some journalling. Well everything went untouched for a while.....then he started talking about how he wanted to do it. We were at his aunts house and I was showing him how the pictures were getting ruined in those albums. Then, one night it happened. He pulled out his pictures and started pulling some. He was pulling random photos, because that is how they are in his albums...so I showed him how the pictures should have a unified theme, and then I left him to it...stressing that he needed to journal. He has a great sense of humor and I knew he had stories to be told behind those photos. He has completed 4 pages so far and I love it! He uses it as a relaxing thing to do when he gets home from work at night. Yee Haw! I finally got him to do it...there is no turning back now!! hee hee

Azzy, I think that is great that your hubby is doing his photos! My DH is very much into my scrapbokiing but he hasn't shown any desire to do it himself. He has become very knowledgeable about it,though and loves to shop for me ..if I give him a list. Good for you (and him) Hugs,

Sabrina :-)

Good for him!

One of my brothers scraps - he's been doing it since he was in junior high (before we knew anything about "archival safe") and he has always included the stories that go with the photos. Now he is redoing some of his old stuff and he has tons of new to do now that he has kids of his own (1 stepdaughter and 3 of "his own"). But when he goes to the lss, he takes his 14-year-old daughter with him so that the ladies running the store think he's shopping for her!
