Woo hoo!

One (actually my third "real" hand-sewn) kilt down, fourth one to go. I am doing the final pressing now (awaiting the cooling of a section while I type). My DSIL will probably come over this weekend to pick his up. I'll start on my grandson's kilt tomorrow, I took his measurements some time ago.

I have tons of pictures, but they won't be going on my site until I have this last one done and delivered.

Congratulations on having all the patience to do this hand sewing on the kilts. Barbara in FL

Ran into a pressing problem. My Singer Press does a great job of mashing the pleats, but each pleats leaves a small visible ridge on the right side of the following pleat. So I have re-pressed, and made a custom "pleat-pressing-board" so I can slide it between the pleats and give a final steaming to remove the ridge. I'll have the danged thing done later today.

While each section of DSIL's kilt was cooling after pressing, I did all the math and marking for DGS's kilt, so I'm ready to begin YAK (Yet Another Kilt). ;-)
