Last week I was working on a spiderman quilt and a 'sporty kids' baby quilt - I finished both this weekend - well, at least the spiderman #2 quilt is finished! I ended up making a second spiderman quilt from the panel that I had intended to use as backing for the original quilt top and making a pieced backing for it....spiderman #1 is still a ufo but it will have a good home one day - I picked up some effective flannelette to make a web backing for it when I get around to finishing it.

is whereyou'll find my photo albums. I have made a separate album for thespiderman quilt and its steps to completion (Winston was in fine formduring the quilting procedure - as always). The birthday party is tomorrow and the quilt is ready! The finished 'sporty kids' baby quilt is now in the baby quilts album- it will be delivered to Ethan later this month via his GrandpaMarshall.

Jennell, those quilts are wonderful! :) I have some of that "sporty kids" fabric -- I plan to use it someday, but haven't done so yet. As for the Spiderman quilt, all of my DGSs have been nuts about Spidey for a long time, so I suspect Tristan will go wild for this quilt. How cool of you to put his photo on the label! Great job!

Thank you Sandy, I try to find appropriate photos of a recipient for the quilt label - I think that it makes it even more personal. jennellh

Winston is such a honey. Sweet-talk that darling for me; maybe an ear rub and special treat? Polly

That really is a fun quilt Jen, and I love the 'web' quilting.. I did *try* to look at the pictures of all the fine sewing, but Winston drew me to him every time! What a dear little chap, and so efficient. Thanks for including him. . In message , jennellh writes

Thank you Pat, Winston is definitely a quilt tunnelling sort of cat while Katie enjoys the sewing process more. It's good that they can share the job of QI-ing. jennellh
