Ok, I'm breaking my own rule and responding to a sewgirls.com message.

Is this the coat you are looking to replicate:

?? If so, some of the KwikSew mens' patterns could easily be adapted:

as 3567, 3123 But really, the coats on that site are relativly inexpensive, and with these specs:

sewn to military specification MIL-C-44048G military grade pocketing guaranteed 11 stitches per inch drain holes in bellows pockets fused pocket flaps and collar chest pencil pocket

2-piece double-reinforced elbows felled side seams and sleeves adjustable sleeve buttons

for under US$30 why bother trying to make one? The fabric will cost more than that.

Beverly, taking pity, it's Eostre season

guess the pattern you are looking for is the M65 jacket?

picked some US camouflage material from a local shop, which was on sale.I knocked up a couple of pairs of simple trousers for my little boy toplay in. The theory is, camouflage is designed so that the wearer shouldnot be seen well in the mud, bushes, sand and so on. I reversed that, thedirt/dust, grass stains, and so on, should not be seen well on hisclothing... I have read several write-ups of the jackets design. It has a straight body (i.e. no tailoring of the waist). So, it should be pretty straight forward to work out. I'm trying to sort something out at the moment. It won't be 'exact', with all the finer details, such as liner attachment points, and such like. But hopefully, it will *look* the part! I I doubt my 4 year old won't notice ;)
