My parents arrive tomorrow from England to stay with us for 6 weeks and from today I'm off work for that time. Because of the distance to Australia and their age, they will need plenty of rest. They're here to spend time with their grand daughter, not run around. So, the good thing is that I'll get plenty of time to catch up with all those little sewing projects - new elastic in shorts waistbands, new pillowcases, cape for when I cut my husband's hair etc. Oh the luxury of having all that time to sew.
All those sewing projects

Back when my DM was alive and visited us twice yearly she always helped me catch up on such, asking 'What can I do while you are doing (fill in chores)?' And once a year we shopped together for a pattern and fabric for a dress for her, and made it together during her visit. Those dresses were special to her (and me).
