Another Window Covered!

I came across a few yards of upholstery fabric and thought of son and wife who had requested a thick curtain to block the street light outside their bedroom window. I've been very busy and finished the curtain and tie backs this afternoon. I will see them tomorrow for DGD's birthday to give it to them. Yeaaaah! A gift for everyone! Barbara in SC

That's great; I'm sure DS & wife will appreciate the curtains. What about DGD? I imagine she enjoyed her gifts as well.

One of the first things I made when we moved in her, 10-years ago, was a curtain for DS. The street light shines right into the window by the bed.

Oh wow, you are in a regular 'curtaining fit'! ;-) I have the living room and the bedroom windows to do, but I avoid it right now. Although, with the starch method used on the chiffon, things might be a lot easier... Anyway, great job you are doing right now. Curtains seem to be so easy but I find that the devil is in the details, so hat off!

Son & family came up today for DGD's birthday cook out. They loved the curtain. DGD loved her birthday gifts, some T-shirts I had bought. Later we went to WalMart to get a few items, and then they left to drive the 30 minutes home as the thunder was starting. A good time was had by all! Barbara in SC

Thanks! The curtain Was very basic. I used the serger on all edges of both panels and then turned under a pocket for the curtain rod after stitching a

1" border to "ruffle up" when it is on the rod. Very simple, yet it looked good! Now I am going to take a sewing break and get back to straightening up a little. Anyone wanna help? Barbara

A bribe? Hummm, How about time with two wonderful dogs and then lunch at Carolina Fine Foods for their lunch buffet? Now THAT is a great bribe! Barbara

That will work. I'll be there as soon as I get my own creating area restored to order. It may take a while. Polly
