I just finished up the new kitchen curtains for over the sink! They are
really cute, says me. Emily in Houston gave me the material a couple years
ago and I just now made them up with a white background and barn yard
prints. Just perfect to brighten things up! Now, what to sew next?

I try not to look. Only glance in that direction. Only have one curtain in
the house and it's in the guest bathroom. But . . . just in case they're
hanging to shreds, would you inspire us, please. Pictures? Details?
Goodness Polly, , these curtains are almost like Ole McDonald had a farm!
There's a row of black & white cows separated by daises, a black stripe,
then a row with 2 chickens separated by daises. Then a row of little
piglets and a row of roosters. They are as cute as can be! Now, son has
talked me into making them some burgundy drapes to hang in their apartment
bedroom to block the outside street light. He says the little thin blinds
just don't do the job! I have some upholstery material for these and will
start this next week end. And I have some possom material for DGD a
pillowcase with a green border for her birthday party on July 3rd! My oh
my, will I be busy!

I'm happy you made the kitchen curtains and like them so well. The
pillowcases sound like a fun project. Just give her a Happy Birthday hug
DS has curtains in his bedroom of a dark multi-colored stripe for the same
reason, to make his room dark. I don't need my room to be so dark.
I am trying to talk DS into driving to SC the week after DGS's wedding in FL
on the 30th of July, like we did 2-years ago. Although it will much hotter
in July than it was in May, but I am certain he wants to see his two nieces
as much as I do. We'll see.
Temps here are usually around 95 - 99 now. We are having a cooler spell and
today's temp is only 92. But you have lived in this area before, so you
know how hot it can get. Hope you get to come see DS and grandchildren!
