boob tube

Jul 17, 2006 2 Replies

HI, I'm a very novice sewer and I have a pattern for a boob tube top but it ncludes putting boning in the side. I prefer not have boning as I'm using a stretching knit. Sill y question, i can still use the pattern but omit the boning part - I'm worried the pattern is only used for bioning and i don't want the top falling down...

Thanks Heaps

I think it will be fine as long as its not too loose. Try on some cheaper fabric first, or use an old t-shirt to make the first one. Afterall, it is just a tube right? And since it will be stretchy you can make it a bit smaller than your actual measurements.
