Egg shape pattern

I want to sew an easter egg about 8-9" tall can anyone help me with a pattern piece?

was thefirst hit on "easter egg line art."Use a piece of newspaper, fold in half, draw an approximate egg shape.Cut out. Start making it bigger than wanted so you can adjust thecurves as needed.

Dear G,

I'm too late for this year, but next year you can have a nice, 3-D egg. Do you have a softball or baseball? Just trace the piece, then elongate the thin part to get an eliptical shape. You'll need two pieces. Put the fat part of one piece at the narrowest part of the other piece, and just sew, leaving an opening to turn. To make it bigger, just scan it into your computer, and double the size.
