There just aren't terribly many "real clothes" types of patterns available for free. Your best hope is to find something that you can use for inspiration.

There are lots of free sewing patterns to download at sewing.about.com, and I have perused them many times, but they aren't anything fancy or specialized.

You might check your local public library for a costume book -- I know when we went to the library every week they had quite a few books on how to make your own costumes for plays, Hallowe'en, etc., and our library isn't even very well funded.

Go to a Good Will or Salvation Army, and get a long flowing mother-of-the-bride dress in a fairyish color. ($5) Trim the hem as needed. If it's too large, add some metallic trim/ribbon around her that brings it closer to the body. Make some wings and whatever else fairies have these days. HTH

Filmy nighties will work too, cut the hem in an uneven /\/\/\/\/\/\/ pattern with pinking shears and use ribbon to tie around the waist, add some wings and you have a fey faerie. You can always glitz it up with fairy dust. I bit of glue on the hem or other high points and sprinkle with crystal glitter.
