And the weather has cooled a bit! Phew!
I still need to make a fasciator and a bag.

Lovely! The bias satin edging is perfect. And I love that you moved the point on the sleeve a little toward the thumb, they always tend to roll around to the back of the hand.
I can hardy wait to see the "fascinator" (even thought you "don't make hats"). I was not familiar with the term so I googled it:
Thank you.
It won't be as big as those...
Exquisite, Kate. A thing of beauty and a joy forever. Polly
But, it'll have feathers, right??? ;->
My bad. I see that when I typed in the term on google, it automagically changed "fasciator" to "fascinator". Further research turned up:
Thank you. It was a great one to do.
No feathers. Just a nice rose made of some of the satin and some of the organza.
Wow - it's beautiful, Kate!

Went to a wedding last Saturday and the bride had a little piece in her hair with a flower and a couple o f tiny feathers. It was very attractive, along with her gown that was the color of very old ivory. Juno
I would love a dress like that even if it was just to look at. It's so beautiful. Juno
Thank yuo. I love doing this sort of thing, but this one was a bit of a rush!
That's the sort of thing I'm aiming for, except that I used wisps of the unembroidered edge of the organza instead of feathers.
Thank you. This was one bride who turned up with the perfect pattern in the correct size! :)
I'm sure it will be delightful, please post pics. The embroidery on that organza is gorgeous!
Kate, I hope you're watching the clock and calendar. That little bit of nothing I made for our bride's hair took about 8 hours. Polly
Two tries and an hour and a half! :D
"Kate XXXXXX" ...
What a lovely dress! Makes me wish I had gone for a white wedding, too. No, not really, you did a very, very good job on my dress, too. ;-)
Envious for your weather, we're still getting steamed alive here.
U. - off with DF to her check-up at the clinic
I still love you dress and jacket. Unusual and a great pleasure to work on. Making a white one was a radical departure for me! ;)
And it is so very nice to see a bride wearing an appropriate dress. I get so tired of these Hollywood-movie-star gowns, skin tight and "cut down to there".
