I have a garment with a heavy duty separating zipper. Apparently the zipper stop came off, and when I zipped up the zipper, the slide body came off the end. I've been tryin to thread the body back on the teeth, but it just won't go. any tips? Is this possible? Cheryl

Yes, with lots of patience. After your success, whip stitch both top teeth to make another stop - or you will be able to thread again and again and again.... Karen in CO

I think you need to be born with a zipper-fixing gene. I had students who could do it, but I've never been able to. Hope you have the gene...

Since it's a separating zipper can't you just slide the body back on one side? And then go ahead and zip it up as you would usually do? Or is that what you're trying to do?
