Does anyone know where to purchase fleece items (vests, blankets, ear warmers) for low prices?

I can tell you where to purchase the fleece if you are interested in doing the sewing yourself. If you are wanting store recommendations for ready made items, then I can't help you.

Yes thanks. Can also tell you where top buy the fleece to make your own. Clue: this is a *sewing* newsgroup, it is also an *international* forum.
Do you want blanks for embroidering? If so, you might Google for "embroidery blanks" or something similar. I have these bookmarked:

have not ordered from any of them. NAYY, HTH,
JoAnn's is having a sale on solid color fleece, this Friday and Saturday only (June 17 and 18) for $2.89 a yard.

ewwww.... junk fleece. That stuff is such crap. Sure the price is right, but it pills, is thin, and loses it's resiliency. Consider purchasing a quality fleece such as the kinds made by Malden Mill. You can mail order it from many places such as Malden Mills, Seattle Fabrics, Outdoors Wilderness Fabrics etc.

Treu, Penny, but for a rapidly growing child (like mine) this is the perfect thing for pants. It's pretty much the only thing he will wear when the weather is cooler, and as fast as he is outgrowing it, I can turn it into scrappy blankets for him and his little sister - they both love to have one with them for some reason.

I agree, buy the good stuff for people who are not growing......or if you have other kids to hand stuff down to, otherwise its a real waste.
