I'm starting work on my frugal sewing book. Just starting. It's going to be written in draft format on my sewing blog and today's entry is about why people sew.
Why do you sew?
I'm always curious why people sew. The reasons I have on the blog are out of my head. Anyone have any to add?
The format and exact wording on the blog may or may not be exactly the final presentation. I'm basically brain dumping right now :)
I love the freedom of choosing my own fabric and my own cuts and patterns. I like taking old bedsheets or curtains and giving them a second life as something new. most of all i love getting compliments on stuff i've made, especially when people ask where i bought it!

I made some curtains years ago when I lived in a farm house. My friend who was visiting said "So what will I see those curtains as next?" I guess I've been at this longer than I thought :)
