I can sew again!!

Yes, I can sew again!!! After a week (or thereabouts) of yard work and getting a Scooby Doo cake made, cooled, and decorated (party on Saturday, wanted it out of the way so I can clean everything), I can actually get back to sewing!! My current project is a charity one - gowns and such for preemies and seriously ill children. I'm going to be doing gowns that have velcro closures along the shoulders and front so that the nurses/doctors can adjust equipment as needed. I'm also going to be making some tiny blankets and hats, and of course, some little fleece booties.

Of course, DD wore the 2pc outfit that I made her (dress and bloomers) and looked too cute for words, so that is next after the preemie things (have 3 more bits of fabrics that can all be mixed and matched).

And to top it all off, to get ready for people coming over, I managed to dig out my sewing space again!! I think I'm going to have to do a dig out every week because 3 of us seem to use it as a dumping ground for miscellaneous whatnot . The 4th in the family is just tall enough to pull everything off onto the floor, but give her another year and she'll be dumping things there as well. Actually, starting in September, it becomes DSs desk for homework (can you believe it??!! He'll be in kindergarten!!! where'd the time go???).

Larisa, who still has *way* too many projects

Congratulations on the jobs well done. It is such a good feeling to actually make something, and not just restore the status quo.
