How on earth do you

hi i am making a shirt for a young boy to wear at a special occasion. Everything has been going well as i have been able to understand and follow the pattern. However how on earth do you get/put a placket into the sleeve of a shirt?????



Please can you recommend any links or instructions which will tell me how to do so, it would be much appreciated.



Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found a couple of online sources:

though its a "vintage' site, same methods still apply. I do think they have pretty good illustrations and directions. I think for a child's shirt I would use the continuous lap placket (Illustration X-1 and 2), although for a good dress shirt I prefer the "sleeve placket (Illustration X-7 and 8). This site:
