How to pronounce Marfy?

Question

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how to pronounce Marfy? (The Italian designer pattern line available through vogue).

I asked my husband since he is very familiar with italian (grew up in a family of italian immigrants, his grandparents still don't know english) He thinks the F is silent but isn't sure.

I studied in Italy for a year and pretty much they pronounce everything. Marfy doesn't sound too Italian though so it might be a name. Maybe your husband is recalling a dialect where they are prone to skipping lots of sounds but the actual language pronounces everything (albeit in some non

-english ways).

Oh and from comes from the Marfisa D'Este. If you pronounce only the "Marfi" partof Marfisa, it sounds exactly how you would pronounce Marfy in  Italian "i" is always pronounced like a long 'e.'k
