iron-on applique for Tee shirts

Mar 10, 2008 1 Replies

I have a few crew neck tees that are plain (dull). I still wear them because they are very comfortable. I want to try applying rhinestone iron-on appliques. Has anyone applied these to a tee shirt before? The fabric on these tees is thin, stretchy and very comfy. I want to make sure I won't damage the shirt. Also, are these machine washable?

Thanks.

You can get some lovely get ironon/Hot Fix diamante/crystal motifs, and they are a lot of fun. I've used them for several projects, on lots of different fabrics. You need to use a hot iron, and it takes time, not just a quick swipe! You CAN wash them... Do so inside out on the delicates or wool program, no hard spinning, no bleach treatments, line dry. They usually come with full washing and fixing instructions.
