lack of motivation

Any of you fall into this?? YOu have a project all cut out and even pinned together, sitting on your machine, and then you don't want to do anything with it.......

That is how I am today. It's nothing that will make the world stop turning, but still....everything is ready, and every time I turn around and take a look at it, I don't even want to bother. However, I am disciplined enough NOT to start another project yet.

GAK! Anybody want to do some of my sewing for me?? As a subcontractor, that is...lol.

On the plus side, so "dotty auntie Kate" won't worry, the doctors visit yesterday went fairly well. Doc said that with the heat and everything, as well as my allergies and the fact that I have less room to fill with food, all contribute to the dizziness that I felt last week. She said that if it happens again, she wants me to lay down with my feet up, preferably on my left side.

I forgot to ask her about the teas that i have been drinking, but have decided that I will just stop with them and drink warm water after dinner (to aid with digestion). I had been drinking chamomile, which, of course, calms a person down, forgetting that it would have the same effect on the little baby inside me.....guess that would explain why there wasn't much movement after dinner like there had been in the past, huh?

Well, sorry for rambling

Larisa

you are pregnant right? Sounds like your body/mind is telling you that it's break time. Go take a nice long nap.

I have no comments about your probably familiar situation. But your post reminds me of something I have observed about myself - and other people who sew.

I have a habit of buying material, storing it in the closet for future projects, and every time I walk by the closet I chide myself for not using it, even tho the next time I see a bargain, I will buy it and store it away .

In short, I add to the closet faster than I use it, and in fact, I often give material away without using it , all the while berating myself for not using what I already have!

I am considering some sort of twelve step program :-)

many herbs are beneficial you just have to pay attention to what you are putting in your body.

I worked with a chinese herbalist my last pregnancy; that was awesome.

LOL!

Today was my worst roller coaster since getting pregnant. I wasn't motivated, then while I was waiting for the laundry to run it's course, I did the glare/mutter/sew the dang thing. I have been trying to track down the truth about the child tax credit refunds, and finally got my answer - because I messed up on the original form, we aren't getting the advance refund - there goes getting the room painted, curtains sewn, and matching Christmas pajamas done! Yes, I ended up in tears at dinner time because of this.

Then, when I went to get some more laundry out of the dryer, ther ewas standing water on the floor! GAK!!! We finally figured out that the washer wasn't leaking adn that the sump pump hadn't gone bonkers....the deep sink (which wasn't installed properly to begin with) had been knoecked off kilter.

Pbbbbbbbt I really want some tea just to chill out, but think I may try the water and lemon...gotta get...lol....motivated...lol to get back upstairs for something.
