That's just lovely, Kate!! The skirt lies beautifully and the boning made a huge difference in the bodice. Very smooth. Was so pretty, I wanted to pet it. ;)

There are similar adult sized patterns about, and it wouldn't be hard to draft one up. I'll see what I can find.
I'm still trying to get to the post office, by the way. Fibro, half term, and a visit to the Frozen North have intervened, but I'll get there ASAP.
Oh, and I can't wait to see your latest crazy idea! I could end up using both: one for mundane clothing and one for historical stuff!
Thank you. I *do* keep going and fidgetting with it, I have to admit. It'll look even better with a chemise under it...
Very nice! I particularly like the color choice and the little pleats. My school uniform was that color in high school and I liked it.
The hand stitching on the shoulders is nice and neat. I avoid hand stitching like the plague.

Thank you. The pleats were a bit of a bear to do, but went OK once I got them all going the right ways round! :D
I taught in a school that had a very similar green for their uniform. I always thought it looked good.
I find it very theraputic, when my hands can stand it. Sometimes the fibro makes hand stitching difficult. This time it just went really nicely.
Well, if it isn't too much of a bother... ;-)
Oh Kate, we really need to talk about that dress... Perhaps not on the group, but we really need to, and best before you go to the P.O. I hope that your Fibro is better now, it must be as nasty as regular migraines (well, what else do I have to compare things with, sorry.)
I hope I'll be able to send it soon, I'm nearly there, just a little bit of digital cleaning up, and then it'll be off to you. If you like to use both, why not, I think it'll be clear that they represent the same craftsperson, you'll see. Perhaps you let on who made them for you, one never knows where it might lead. (I might actually get a life one day, if DD ever grows up). ;-)
Oh, that reminds me: Would it be possible for you to say a word or two about the Elna Supermatic (

OK, I'll hang fire on that for now. Email me later, when the fairy is asleep.
I'll certasinly do that. :)
So darling, and all lying so flat and smooooooth. That's one lucky 11 year old.

A lot of lucky 11 YO's, I hope! ;) It's intended to play dress-up with any kids who fit in it at this most delightful of houses:
That's delightful, Kate! What a wonderful house and grounds, and how fun it would be for youngsters to play dress-up there.
I forgot to mention how much I enjoyed seeing the Bernina too. It is the same color as my 530.

Yes... At the moment I have THREE of those!
