Olfa cutting board

My big green Olfa is definitely gone. I went to get a new one, but the shop has a last one with centimeters on it. The old Olfa was double-sided, inches/ centimeters. We are different in Europe, you se(LOL)

Than running to another shop, and I've got a smaller one, with inches and cm's . Fiddle-de-dee! It's nice and just enough for my improvements in quilting and sewing projects.

Never do the mistake I did, folks, avoid heat sources (in my case) heat water in the water tank of my iron...blub blub My new question. How long has a linen fabric (bias cut) for a long skirt to hang up, before stitching? A friend of my said one month, I can't believe it. She is a professional seamstress, or was she just kidding? Or shall I start with a sleeveless blouse? My wish is a skirt, because of the thick fabric. I've got almost the same fabric as on the picture by Threads

I was under the impression bias cut things simply had to hang overnight. I once made the mistake of not hanging a silk chiffon bias drape on a formal (yes, I know better, but I was in a hurry). I had to cut the hem off after it "grew" and redo it. I let it hang for almost a week just to be sure it was done.

If it's a wide skirt and/or a loose weave, yes, a month may just about do it! But expect the hem to be wonky again after washing... You could be lucky, but if you expect it, then it won't be a disappointment.
