pattern search success

Well. For goodness sake. I needed a blouse to wear with suits. Button down the front. No collar. Also, no stuff such as a neckline that would reveal my bellybutton, 5-point swaggy hem or wild and crazy sleeves. Finally found two - one an out-of-print KwikSew and a Vogue over at ebay. This will be the first time I've sewed a garment for myself in decades but brings me back to why I learned to sew in the lst place. If you want to dress conservatively, it is good that you can sew. There was Nothing available at any price anywhere. gasp. Polly

Some very nice designs there and not a belly button in sight.

Search term "mormon (or LDS) clothing"

;-D

Also, "modest women's clothing"

There are probably other terms but those sufficed to provide examples.

, please, and tell me what, in all the world, that dark object in the middle is. (I really wonder how that made it into the collection...) ;-) U.

I stand corrected Ursula, Sorry. I love the description of that top " boyfriend sleeve" Is that to stop him putting his hand on your upper arm perhaps? so useful when you have your belly button exposed. Only kidding.

there isn't. I see patterns sometimes now in secondhand/antique stores, sometimes at surprising prices.

sorry for the contentless followup
