Though the pattern description says 'semi-fitted', this is a loose fitting item and will have 8" or more (in larger sizes) ease built in. It's also 'uni-sex', which means that it is fitted to a bloke! They get more ease across the shoulders on stuff like this , so are bigger in the chest area too.
I find patterns like this are great for my hubby and son, but for me I prefer a more fitted style like this:
