When you were watching the serging videos and reading the instruction books, did you see a lot of the small projects you can make for your house? I make a lot of these items for myself and friends. Things like the holder you put on your easy chair you sit in to watch TV, to hold the remote and also hand sewing items. I'm one of those who like to stay busy doing something! Yes, I enjoying sewing things to help others! I've noticed at the stores that a lot of the simple curtains and valance are sewn with an overlock stitch. They are quick to make, as well as tablecloth & napkins. I once worked in an expensive ladies clothing store doing minor alterations and a LOT of the jackets & coats were made with the overlock stitch . I'm sure you are enjoying sewing with your new machine! Barbara in hot South Carolina

So many projects, so little time. I have made the T shirt for the stall to "test the machine" I am really pleased with the results.

I am still currently battling with the Houseful of Curtains for the new clients. I wish I could hem these curtains with the overlocker but I am shortening hand stitched hems so , hand stitched it is. Good thing they pay by the hour. Plus when I went to hang all the downstairs curtains today I met an American Lady who wants curtains and cushions also. Good news for the money side of things bed news for my new machine.

I have downloaded a pattern for a Bra at last and really want to get that done. I have dresses to make for the stall and 4 sets of Rompers ordered.

Sounds like you have a lot of things to sew for everyone but you! I too, and thinking of sewing for children this fall & winter, but it is nothing I will have a deadline for, and I can take all the time I need. I enjoy making T shirts to sleep in because they are soooo comfortable! Good luck with all the sewing! Barbara in SC
