Quick sort out.

9h00. Thinking about having a re shuffle in my sewing room. I need not to have the 3 machines on the bench not so close together so I have to re-home the ironing board and a ton of other stuff. If I could get rid of some of my clients fabric and finished items I might make it!! Here goes.

13h15 Done, it was less painful than I thought . I would have more room to move if I could get clients to confirm that I can deliver their finished items and or collect them, but for now I have put the sewing machines where they should be and l have moved the ironing board across the doorway.

Bonus item the teal jersey and the pattern for a dress for me have now been found and are together! I can now loose them both at the same time instead of know where one is but not the other. Excuses for making that dress are now running thin. However I have a summer dress which Mum pattern fitted for me this morning to make 1st.

uh if you would like to just send the teal and pattern to me, then it would be out of your way and you would not need to worry about it! Barbara, just wanting to help

Right when I can't find it I will blame you. LOL. I made my cotton Poppy dress this afternoon. despite Mum fitting the pattern I still had to take it in a bit after I finished hey ho . It must be the weight I lost. I'm not quite used to the new smaller me.

Attacked the Simplicty 1800 summer dress pattern again this morning .

I made further adjustments to the back of the neck and the waist. I swapped the centre back zip to a side zip which I prefer. The pockets came out shallower than version 1 I think it's because I adjusted the waist down to a 10 from a 14 so the pockets lined up awkwardly, but I can fix that if I do it again, I would cut a new pattern piece next time. I also had enough border print fabric left over to make a short cute skirt for my future daughter in law . One or other of those dresses will get an outing tomorrow.

Large Snip

Update on Simplicity 1800.

I am wearing version 2 of the dress and find I still need to make a small adjustment to the front of the neckline. It needs to fit flusher to my chest . I can do it with a small tuck in the already made version.

However for version 3 I will actually make the front sleeve pattern a little bigger as it's pulling the bodice forward and that's why the neckline is gaping a bit. I's not always about taking bits out of a pattern I have to remind myself. It doesn't help that I have a very small bust cup but a big rib cage.

Hoping version 3 is the perfect fit, version 2 is great and version 1 will get an outing on Monday night.
