singer 6235

-------------------------------------

Hi I was given a singer model 6235, I have tried and tried to figure out how to thread the bobbin to no avail. Is there anyone out there who can help me, in plain simple terms, please. I didn not get an instruction booklet with it, I think maybe the bobbin holder is in wrong too, help, please, Mary

This problem has been brought up many times and the answer is to do a web search for Singer machines. There are many sites that sell manuals and sometimes, give instructions.

I have had and still have many Singers, but am not familiar with this number.

My spare machine is a 6267.....it might be similar. Do your bobbins have a spring in the center and no hole? If so, this may help.

I didn't see the original post (sewgirls.com?).

A manual is necessary for *everything* to do with a sewing machine, from threading, to tension adjustments, to special features, to proper maintenance. OP should invest in one:

Here's how to wind a bobbin:

a look at these two pages on Singer bobbins:

the instructions that match your machine. When you've loaded the bobbin, you have to raise the bobbin thread:

's where you buy a copy of the manual -- yes, you want it:

Place the bobbin in the machine and slide the door till both aarows are side by side. Then hit the gas ... the bobbin will wind keep an eye on the amout of thread through the little window on the bobbon door.

Once you have enough thread simply slide the door back use scissors to pull the thread out and cut it. Your machine is now threaded and ready to go.
