Slightly OT: Trying something new

OK, I'm trying something new. I found some basic instructions on how to make hand tatted lace on the net. I was looking for something to occupy my hands for those times I've finished sewing for the day and still have a little time before bed. So I bought a pair of plastic tatting shuttles and a ball of tatting yarn. I made a couple of basic rings, with pico loops, but I wanted to know if any of you have suggestions or links of what to do with this next. I don't see any newsgroups for tatting...

There are people that do tatting on "rec.crafts.textiles.yarn". I am sure they would be happy to help. Carol in TN

The chapter called "how to learn how to make rings" has suggestions for things to do with isolated rings.

There are several very active mailing lists for tatting and needle tatting. (Nearly all patterns made for tatting can be needle-tatted, so most lists cover both arts. When I got overwhelmed by the volume, needle tatters were still restricting themselves to tattable patterns, but I presume that that has changed by now.)
