Wanted: Manual for Singer Touch & Sew model 648

Hi all,

I'm new to the sewing world but I'm so excited because I just got a Singer sewing machine from a family member it's over 30 years old and I have no clue on how to use it. It's a Singer Touch & Sew model 648. I'm looking for a web site where I can download the users manual. I've found some sites but they want $20-$30 for the manual and I find that to be too much.

Do you know where I can get the manual for free?

Take care, SPOONS

I know of no place on the web for 'freebie' manuals for machines that are from, say, the 60's & newer. =20

Here's a site where you can download manuals for $7, hard copy is $12.50.

Here is a great site for Touch and Sews in general:

There is no place where you can get a manual for this machine for "free". I do know of a website that charged me $5.00 for my Singer

728, which was made a few years after yours. Just send an email to Gil at

and he will answer your question as to how much it is; I am sure it wouldn't be much, but it certainly won't be "free".
