wool felt?

is 100% wool felt (in colors) available as yardage anywhere? i'd settle for as low as 85% wool, but i can't work with the basic craft store cheap felt. it just doesn't work right & feels nasty. TIA lee

Dear Lee,

Put wool felt in your search engine. I don't have an address any more, but some years ago, I needed wool felt and found it that way.

The Little Lamb (online) Quilt Shop has wool felt as do a number of other quilt shops. It is also used for wool applique.

well, yeah... but i was looking for the really flat felt. i don't have the roller presses, or even a washer wringer... hmm. i wonder if the antiques stores have any right now... we managed to felt all of Radar's first kid shearing. not flat though, more like a 2 pound mohair ball :) lee

i NEED more room! or less hobbies... :)

we're discussing building a barn, not because the llamas need a barn (they don't. the goats would appreciate one though), but because we need: 1)a clean place to brew beer, but the brewer doesn't want to hike down to the saphouse to brew 2)a hot glass studio, because i do not want an oxy-propane torch in the house 3)a sewing room

4)a craft room with sinks, shelving & lots of light (could be the sewing room if it was big enough) 5)a place for both sets of model railroads (i have N scale, Tom has HO) 6) a milkhouse/cheese making kitchen (see #1)
