Snaps?

Snaps are eyelets with a solid top rather than a hole in them. You set them just as you would an eyelet.

I had the same questions a while back and finally got the nerve to ask a clerk in a scrapbook store.

I have used them and they really are the same as using an eyelet. Makes a cool look to a scrapbook page or card. I'd say go ahead and give them a try!

I have some that look like the tops of screws .... not sure yet what I'll do with them but they'd make a neat masculine card or page someday. :-)

I've used them some. They're no more difficult to use than eyelets; however, you do need to be careful about how hard you "tap" to set them, and what surface you lay your work on to back the "tapping". The top will dent if you're not careful.

I'm not sure, but I think you should be able to use the appropriate-sized "rivet" setter on the HomePro LR if you happen to have that. It'd be worth the cost of one "snap" to give it a try. I'd tell you my own findings, but my own smallest rivet setter is too big for the snaps I have.
