Frog costume

When my daughter's school did "Once On This Island", I was helping with costumes and frogs were part of the story. What we ended up doing was having the kids wear green leotards with green t-shirts over them. For some reason the art teacher tie-dyed yellow circles onto the t-shirts; it looked pretty cool. She had started with white shirts. We made "frog eye" headbands: take a styrofoam ball and cut it in two. I used 3" balls so they would show. Paint them green and add big black dots for eyes. Glue them to a stiff plastic headband. As a finishing touch, the kids' faces were covered with green face paint. The overall effect was pretty frog-like.

If you need to add something to make them more realistic, cut webbed hands and feet out of 1" foam, spray paint them green and attach them to the kids' hands and feet with elastic.
