I have one of these in our RV. It's fantastic! When it arrived, I was a bit worried, as it doesn't feel very stable when set up. However, once you set your sewing machine up on it, it is quite sturdy and it's a dream to sew on.

Goodness me! How do you sew on something that small? I have trouble with my benches, and frequently have to roll extra tabletop space up to supplement it.

I sew on what I think is an old typing table - not the rolling metal kind, but a table two inches lower than standard, with good sturdy metal legs and a very solid wood top. Of course, I have something next to it to catch overflow, plus another desk at right angles to keep my tools etc. on, but it does make for an extemely flexible layout (and can be all pushed out of the way when we have more than two overnight guests and some of them have to sleep in the studio).

My benches are made of standard bits of kitchen worktop. When I want a bigger area I can roll up an Ikea set of basket drawers and make a nice L shaped space. I have three sets of drawers with the worktops on them, so it's both flexible and great for storing away when we have guests. :)

Ah well, I'd love to have something much larger, but we fulltime in our RV, and it is a dream to sew on rather than the dining table. I have mine butted up against the kitchen counter, which gives me a place for excess fabric to go. When I quilt, I have a folding card table I set up next to it.

A "regular" on another ng is touring the country with her husband with a

38' trailer with nearly the identical layout as your 5th wheel. She loves it. It's her husband's job, and his company is paying their expenses - not for the trailer, though. She says it's like a house except there's no yard work. LOL! She is having a great time sampling the cuisine of places where they stop. People on the ng are helping by giving her names and addresses of the best eateries.

I don't know about you, but I have a strong tendency to expand into all available space. I have lived in studio apartments, and in big houses, and survived all, and was able to sew in all. We are inventive. We are women. Most of us. We can do remarkable things.
