I "inherited" a Singer Zig Zag 758 sewing machine from a friend of mine when she moved out. I've never used a sewing machine before and would like to play around with this one as a precursor to purchasing a new one. I have no manual for it and therefore have not the first clue how to set it up to run. I've checked numerous sources online found they are for sale from Singer and other sources. However, as I don't know if this machine is even operable, I don't want to sink any more money into it than I have to. What I'm wondering is whether anyone here might have a manual for this machine and would be willing to make a photocopy of it for me? I'd gladly reimburse you for the copy fees and also provide you with a SASE to mail it to me. I'd greatly appreciate any assistance anyone could provide. Please email me direct at snipped-for-privacy@sbcglobal.net.

The manual for the 758 is listed for $15.00, probably less than you would pay for copies and postage.
This newsgroup is NOT "e-mail"...
HTH,
You can download manuals...SewUSA has them for $7. The 758 manual is almost 100 pages long (I have one) and that would certainly cost more than $7 to get to Kinkos, copy it, pack it, stamp it, etc.

SewUSA also has FREE threading/bobbin winding directions here:

Maybe that's enough to get started.
