Agree "need" is the key. Looks a bit old. 1980s maybe? The turning diame ter says 250 mm. That is 9.5 inches. The picture looks like its much bigg er than that. At least 12 inches or more. I wonder if this lathe is limit ed by where the cutter is in the mechanism. The cutter can only get so clo se to the bed. Or the banjo is so thick it restricts how big the wood is. It does not factor in how big a piece of wood will fit over the ways.
