Circular saw Table

I used that set up for a long time. Just counterbore into 3/4 plywood, drop some 1/2-13 short bolts into the counter bore. Grind the heads down as needed, than epoxy them into place. drill matching holes in the shoe of your circular saw. Bolt it up. Build a switch/ plug set up- tie the trigger down on the saw with cable ties.

I used angle iron with a pc. of plywood screwed to it as a fence. Careful measurements to the front and back of the blade let me set the fence parrallel to the blade. I could get a nice clean cut, accurate to within 1/32, most days.

No blade guards involved of course. Oh well, I don't use it on my (real) table saw now anyway.

You might get more answers over at the Woodworking group, but I just sold a portable saw table that used a 7-1/4" power hand saw hooked into it. I now have Two Table saws. One in the garage to Rough cut and one in my small shop for fine cuts. However, the fold up model did very well, as long as I didn't try to overload it. If I remember correctly, it only cost about $35.00 U.S. But for the life of me, I can't remember the brand. I believe it started with an "H". Aha--------I screwed around long enough - It has HIRSH.

I believe that FWW had plans for one like that in one of their books and Gilliom MFG has something that is very solid and reasonably cheap. Of course they also have plans and parts for a table saw, band saw and shaper among others.
