Events in May/June

Greetings, all,

With a foot of new snow on the ground, my spouse is getting antsy to travel. I teach until the first week in May, and the kids don't get out of school until June 4 or 5, so we're considering going somewhere for a week in the interim. We'd prefer somewhere likely to be warmer than northern Minnesota by then.

She's a big supporter of my turning, and has suggested looking for a place I could take classes, etc. I checked Arrowmont, but they're on hiatus then. Also, it would be a big plus if she could find classes in watercolor or raku pottery. As an alternative, a really good art/craft show and a number of good shops could be fun.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Ron Williams Minn-Dak Woodturners Moorhead, MN

The Utah Woodturning Symposium is in June (10-12) in Provo. In addition to an excellent symposium, Crfat Supplies usually has worldclass turners lined up for their school just before and just after the symposium.
