Handwheel on Nova XP

The tailstock quill wheel had become difficult to rotate.. It took a while to learn how to remove it, clean and re-grease it but it is doable. In the slot on top of the tailstock is a clip or insert that fits into a groove on the handwheel. It was all gunked up with dust/grease inside.

Yup, remove and clean. There is a hole through the handwheel, as I recall this has to be top-dead-center to align with an Allen screw (2.5MM????) remove this and then you should be able to dis-assemble the tail-stiock

I take mine apart about every 6 months for a PM cleaning
