Mini Lath newbie

Dec 09, 2005 2 Replies

Although I've been woodworking for quite a few years, I haven't used a lathe since the 8th grade many years ago. I think I would like to get a Mini Lathe (Jet is highly recommended). I picked up a couple of books at my local Woodcraft store in an attempt to gain a little insight. I looked for a web site run by one on the authors, Ron Hampton. The site is listed as "

". I get a "404 error" message. Anyone know if the site is now defunct, or moved?

Thanks,

Frank

Hmmm, I have his site listed on our club's links page and have a couple other links to different parts of his site but they all bring up an error also. I did a whois on the domain, it doesn't expire for another year so maybe the server is down, or he's doing a complete revision of the site or something.

None of his page addresses seem to be valid any longer. You could email or call Ron Hampton - his email and phone are in the AAW Directory under the Texas listings.
