Been a rough 2 days. Been cutting and welding and now I am 95% through with the bed extension for my 3520A. I will have 125" usable between centers. Powermatic wants $900 for the 40" bed extension and I will have $400 in this
90" extension which includes the chop saw and angle grinder I bought. Took a welding class in 62 at Texas A&M and haven't welded since then. Was lousy then and haven't improved since. You would expect someone that has been welding since 62 would improve. This is the first step in making a version of the Legacy Ornamental Mill with 120" between centers. I am going to use electronic gearing to slave the lateral movement of the router to the spindle motor. I think that I have that figured out but would appreciate anyone that has experience with electronic gearing giving me a shout.- posted
