Hello all, I'm just now considering buying a lathe and was wondering if anyone has any experience with the new Jet Mini lasthe with the VS. Is it woth the $100.00 difference than the previos one?
Also, Any suggestions on assecories would be greatly appreciated?
BTW, for now I'm only considering the Mini's because of the cost.

but...it might be worth the $100 to be able to change speed with the turn of a lever. There may be times when you try to turn at a faster or slower pace than you should simply because you don't want to fiddle with the belt change. I have the 1236 Jet with the VS and I love it. Down the road you will forget about the $100 when you realize you have a great tool with VS.
Just something to think about......
