Re: Arghhh! - Two weeks with no turning...

Steven,

If you are temporarily unable to turn.......at least you will perhaps have the time to catch up on reading about turning. I hope you have a complete and speedy recovery.

Steve, I hope that you will be feeling much better soon! You could probably turn some of those high end pens for a fix. There'd be no heavy lifting there! :-)

Steve: While you are lollygagging about you might turn your temporarily limited resources loose on preparing your second CD! *G*

Hello Barry,

Thanks for the kind words... I have been reading quite a bit, mostly chemistry related texts though. I've also been researching photo microscopy options (Olympus BX-60 and PM-30 Automatic Camera System) to see if I can incorporate ultra-high magnification photos in some of my articles. :-)

Hello Marshall,

Thanks for the kind words... I thought about that (pen turning that is) and will no doubt be doing some very soon. My inlay jig is nearly complete (slave unit for indexed drilling of preset inlays), so this would be a good time to break it in... :-)

I'm also in the middle of remodelling the studio, so there are numerous light duty chores waiting for me, but nothing is the same as hogging out some monster bowls. :-) Take care and all the best to you and yours!

Hello Leif,

Funny you should mention that... I am in fact busy on Volume II of my woodturning CD instructional series. Volume II will feature video segments as well as text and photos, so it should be a stack of fun putting it together. :-) Volume II will also include some of my best production turning secrets and tips, as well as all new articles and protocols. Stay tuned... Take care and all the best to you and yours!

Steven When I miss a couple of days turning, my wife and kids make me go out to the shop and make a shaving or two. Two weeks and she would likely have grounds for divorce or at least an excuse for homicide. Two weeks? Turn soon.
