Arrrrgh! I made the mistake of going there, and in the first line of the short bed link is the classic _its/it's_ mistake.
So much for British grammar.
Hi Brian, It's just that we colonists would never expect a Brit to confuse "it's" as the possessive, although seniority hath "its" privileges during Jubilee. With a wide grin, Arch
Fortiter,
But what a disappointment to see the most common (aggravating) American error on the very first page!
I had expected better.
George,
You are forgiven.
Actually, this post took me down memory lane. I visited LRE around about 1990, before Lee's father died, with a view to buying a Jubilee lathe (they were far less expensive than the Graduate, I think). I have never seen so many woodturning lathes squashed into one place. Whilst Lee showed me their stock, my wife and his father spent the time comparing notes about their holidays in the States.
As it happened I bought a new lathe elsewhere.

You could also try Derek Pyatt for spare parts and other help. He repairs woodworking machinery. I did a search on Google for him - he doesn't seem to have a web site. The telephone number I have for him is: 01902 791656.
