Re: HELMET PureLite airshield TREND update

Hi Mike,

I have the Trend on a long term review and basically it does everything it sets out to do, it offer breathing protection, the visor offers the advantage of keeping dust and chips out of your eyes, it is reasonably comfortable to wear and in the warmer weather the cooling air blowing over your face is a big bonus.

I would suggest that if you buy the Trend or any similar version to get a second battery, I turn full time and find I need a spare on charge ready to change. Some of the turners here in the UK use mains adapters and somehow connect them in place of the battery, the only thing is you have to remember to remove the helmet before walking away.

I'm not looking to buy one, I have one. What I need are the specs for the charger. The one I got with the unit is definitely not the original one and I want to make sure I don't fry the batteries.

Tritons new powered respirator just turned up on Rockler. Might be worth a look.

Hi Mike,

Sorry for the delay in getting back, I have the Trend charger in front of me and the details read:

AC/DC CHARGER Input: 230V/50Hz/4.6VA Output: 4.35V/90mA Type: FW5099

Hope this helps

Regards....Mike
