Some of the rubber buttons in the pictures are white. Where do you get the white buttons? The black ones that I got with mine DO cause marking of the bowl at times. I requested that they supply white ones when I first got my Cole Jaws, but never got an answer to my email.

The button mounting holes are spaced too far apart. Sometimes when a setting is too small to insert the bowl, the next larger setting will not close down on the bowl. This is worse with my SuperNova 2 which has a smaller throw than the older SuperNova chuck. I get around this by having a set of smaller buttons made from door stop buttons. (And they ARE white).

Certainly, but you'll need other jaws for that task. Comes with, in most cases.

Ah yes, the gap. I bought some automotive heater hose and made some sections which fit over the supplied buttons, adding enough to bridge the gaps without outraging the engineers (lawyers?) over holes spaced too close. It's red, but doesn't smudge.

I milled mine into oblong shapes, took care of the gap

I've had one of these for several years. It works as advertised however you have to be careful. I've had bowls pop out from the rubber stoppers.

I don't use it much anymore because I like to turn natural edge bowls or bowls too large for the cole jaws.
